Featuring Farzana Nayani

Farzana Nayani is a passionate community advocate and educator, speaker and coach on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), race, leadership, culture, and identity. She holds an MA in communications from the Univ. of Hawai’i at Manoa with research focusing on identity of multiethnic youth. She is an advisor for the non-profit Multiracial Americans of Southern California (MASC) and has been featured by L.A. Parent, NPR, and DiversityInc. Of Filipina-Pakistani background, her partner is German and Malaysian and together, they are parents of two multiracial sons. Her new book Raising Multiracial Children: Tools for Nurturing Identity in a Racialized World distributed by Penguin Random House is available now.
