FARZANA NAYANI
FARZANA NAYANI is a passionate community advocate and educator, speaker and coach on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), race, leadership, culture, and identity. She holds an MA in communications from the Univ. of Hawai'i at Manoa with research focusing on identity of multiethnic youth. She is an advisor for the non-profit Multiracial Americans of Southern California (MASC) and has been featured by L.A. Parent, NPR, and DiversityInc. Of Filipina-Pakistani background, her partner is German and Malaysian and together, they are parents of two multiracial sons. Her new book Raising Multiracial Children: Tools for Nurturing Identity in a Racialized World distributed by Penguin Random House is available now.

    TMS is a community organization celebrating intersectional identities by hosting monthly meetups that navigate conversations on ​​identity, culture, and civic engagement. We create safe spaces for people to listen and learn with each other; to witness and validate the totality of an individual's experience of the world.
