PARADE YOUR PRIDE
Parades illuminate displays of freedom, history, peace, love, respect, and so much more. They are a cathartic and expressive way to feel the power of a community who share a common cause.

By joining our audio-video call, you (our beloved TMS member) acknowledge that you have been informed that you may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded as part of the program entitled “The Mixed Space Meetup” hereafter called (the “Production”). Further, by joining our audio-video call, you grant your irrevocable consent to The Mixed Space LLC, its successors, assigns, and licensees to include your name, likeness, photographic image, mannerisms, and voice in the Production and in any promotional materials for the Production, without demanding compensation and/or credit, and for such Production and related promotional materials to be used for any purpose whatsoever in any and all media now known or hereafter devised throughout the universe in perpetuity.
    We're Asking:
How do parades create and unify us in community?
How do different communities intersect and find common ground at parades?
Sign up here if you'd like a specially-reserved, 5 minute spot during the meetup to share your story relating to this month's theme
Please note if you share your story here it becomes public within our community across multiple platforms

      Whiteboard Session
Watch in real time how our community whiteboard is built on Zoom. We invite all attendees to contribute to the board. For those who are visually impaired, we will be sure to describe what's on the whiteboard. The whiteboard is used as a space for TMS members to share their takeaways from the meetup, the commitments we pledge to make, and a space where people can have fun and draw whatever resonated with them at the event.

This is where you’ll find our Community Guidelines, and Maria P. P. Root’s Bill of Rights for People of Mixed Heritage and Multiracial Oath of Responsibility. We lean on this language as a pillar to create safe spaces for critical conversation.

QUOTES FROM MIXED SPACE COMMUNITY MEMBERS:
        What is The Mixed Space?
TMS is a community organization celebrating intersectional identities by hosting monthly meetups that navigate conversations on identity, culture, and civic engagement. We create safe spaces for people to listen and learn with each other; to witness and validate the totality of an individual's experience of the world.
